General

What is Emp-Mix?

Emp-Mix is an event-based product analytics platform. It helps product teams understand user behavior, measure feature adoption, and improve conversion rates without needing to write SQL.

How is it different from Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is primarily designed for marketing attribution and pageviews. Emp-Mix is built for product analytics. Instead of focusing on "sessions and pageviews", Emp-Mix focuses on "users and events". This allows for much deeper analysis of how logged-in users navigate your application over time.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

By default, data is hosted in our AWS US-East region. We also offer EU data residency for Enterprise customers.

Is Emp-Mix GDPR compliant?

Yes. We provide APIs to permanently delete user data (hard deletes) to comply with "Right to be Forgotten" requests. Furthermore, we do not track PII (Personally Identifiable Information) by default; you have full control over the properties you choose to send to our servers.

Can I export my data?

Yes, you own your data. You can export raw events at any time using our REST APIs, or configure automatic daily exports to your own Amazon S3 bucket (Pro plan and above).

Billing

How are events counted?

Every successful call to the /track endpoint counts as one event. Profile updates (/identify or /people/set) do not count towards your monthly event quota.

What happens if I exceed my tier's limit?

We do not hard-drop events immediately. You will receive an email warning when you cross 80% and 100% of your limit. If you consistently exceed your limit, you will need to upgrade to the next tier, but we provide a 7-day grace period to ensure no data loss.
